A Flickr Group pool is filled by photos of people who add content regularly. These are excellent source of new photos from a smaller community you trust. Justified Image Grid can pull photos from a public Flickr Group pool. Once somebody posts new content into the group, the gallery on your site updates itself automatically. It's great to show the latest content from a given group. Create an invite-only Flickr group to allow trusted people to add photos to your site. Create contest using this setup, or aggregate photos from an event by encouraging people to upload their photos to your Flickr Group pool - and show those on your site.

I've often wondered what the surf here in a strong southerly swell swell was like before the construction of Crowdy Head boat harbour so I asked Gemini Ai the question below. What year did the construction of Crowdy Head boat harbour on the NSW Mid North Coast begin. What years was it upgraded, as is happening in 2026. Before the boat harbour was built which thereafter obstructed wave swells was the surf here on par with Crescent Head? Here is the historical breakdown of the Crowdy Head boat harbour and how its construction impacted the local surf conditions. Construction and Upgrade Timeline Construction Began (1964): The original Crowdy Head boat harbour was formed in 1964 when the initial ocean breakwater was constructed to service the commercial fishing industry. First Major Extension (1975): The harbour underwent a significant upgrade in 1975. The breakwater was extended further out, and two mooring jetties (an eastern and a western jetty) were installed. Maintenance and Decommissioning (2010): By 2010, the infrastructure had deteriorated. While some dredging works were undertaken, the western jetty (Jetty 2) was officially taken out of service and fenced off due to its poor, unsafe condition. Current Upgrade (2025–2026): Following a funding stimulus announcement, major construction commenced in September 2025 and is actively progressing through 2026. This modernization includes demolishing the remnants of the old timber jetties, extensive dredging around the boat ramp, and driving new steel piles to install a modern floating pontoon facility with water and electrical services for up to 19 vessel berths. Historical Surfing: Crowdy Head vs. Crescent Head Yes, according to early surfing lore and historical accounts from the Mid North Coast, the surf at Crowdy Head was once very much on par with Crescent Head. Before the harbour breakwaters were fully developed—and specifically before the massive 1975 extension—the natural alignment of the point allowed swells to wrap cleanly into the bay. In the pioneering days of Australian surf exploration, Crowdy Head was a highly regarded stop for surfers traveling up the coast because it produced a long, peeling point-style wave that drew direct comparisons to Crescent Head. However, the construction of the harbour permanently altered the coastal dynamics: Obstructed Swell Lines: The extended breakwater walls pushed out far enough to effectively block the crucial swell angles that created the long rides. Modern Conditions: Today, the harbour infrastructure heavily shelters the adjacent beach from south swells and southerly winds. Instead of a world-class, consistent point break like Crescent Head, Crowdy Head now functions as a softer, more protected beach break. It relies heavily on specific east or northeast swells and is generally considered a spot best suited for beginners and families rather than the experienced boardriders who still frequent Crescent Head.">Storm Front & Rocky Shore, Crowdy Head, Manning Valley, NSW

  • Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorkshire

    Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorkshire
Robin Hood's Bay is a village on the North Yorkshire coast, six miles south of Whitby and 15 miles north of Scarborough. The origin of the name is uncertain, and it is doubtful that Robin Hood was ever in the vicinity of the village (if indeed he ever existed). The place is attested in the early sixteenth century as "Robyn Hoodis Baye". The village, which consists of a maze of tiny streets, has a tradition of smuggling, and there is reputed to be a network of subterranean passageways linking the houses. During the late 18th century smuggling was rife on the Yorkshire coast. Fishing has always been the main legitimate activity in the village. Many houses were built between 1650 and 1750 and whole families were involved in the fishing industry. Fishing reached its peak in the mid 19th century, fishermen used the coble for line fishing in winter and a larger boat for herring fishing. These days most of the village's income comes from tourism. Robin Hood's Bay is also known for the large number of fossils which may be found on its beach. The foreshore rocks on the north side of the bay, in particular, are a well known location for finding ammonites, especially after winter storms.

  • Charleston seen from Ft. Sumter Nat’l Monument, SC

Charleston seen from Ft. Sumter Nat’l Monument, SC
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice. Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side. His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all peoples see his glory. [Psalm 97:1-6 NIV] 5 MORE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW: 1. Like it or not, we are ALL sinners: As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” (Romans 3:10-12 NLT) 2. The punishment for sin is death: When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT) 3. Jesus is our only hope: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT) 4. SALVATION is by GRACE through FAITH in JESUS: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT) 5. Accept Jesus and receive eternal life: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12 NLT) And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12 NLT) Read the Bible for yourself. Allow the Lord to speak to you through his Word. YOUR ETERNITY IS AT STAKE!

DFC_5169: Pattaya by night, a glittering coastline and palm-lined beach stretching into the lights of the city.
This is a stunning nighttime aerial view of Pattaya's coastline in Thailand. The photo shows the curved shoreline with its illuminated beachfront, where the golden sand beach is lit up against the dark ocean waters. The urban landscape features numerous high-rise buildings and hotels that line the coast, their lights creating a beautiful cityscape against the night sky. In the foreground, there are vibrant tropical flowers - appearing to be orange and pink plumeria or similar blooms - which frame the scenic view. The perspective suggests this photo was taken from an elevated viewpoint, possibly from a hotel balcony or observation deck, looking down at Pattaya's famous beach area. The lighting creates a dramatic contrast between the bright beachfront promenade, the glittering city lights, and the deep blue-black of the nighttime sky and ocean. This captures the vibrant nightlife atmosphere that Pattaya is known for, showcasing both its natural coastal beauty and modern urban development.

This photo shows a beautiful tropical beach scene with a row of palm trees lining the sandy shoreline. The beach appears to have golden-brown sand and several people can be seen relaxing along the coast. There are some dark rocks visible at the water's edge, creating a natural barrier between the beach and the sea. The water looks calm and stretches to the horizon. The lighting suggests it might be late afternoon or early evening, giving the scene a warm, peaceful ambiance. This looks like a tranquil coastal destination, perfect for relaxation and enjoying nature's beauty.

The Lord looked and was displeased to find there was no justice. He was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed. So he himself stepped in to save them with his strong arm, and his justice sustained him. He put on righteousness as his body armor and placed the helmet of salvation on his head. He clothed himself with a robe of vengeance and wrapped himself in a cloak of divine passion. He will repay his enemies for their evil deeds. His fury will fall on his foes. He will pay them back even to the ends of the earth. In the west, people will respect the name of the Lord; in the east, they will glorify him. For he will come like a raging flood tide driven by the breath of the Lord. [Isaiah 59:15b-19 NLT] 5 MORE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW: 1.

I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. This photo features a large, white dining table with numerous white plates and bowls placed on top of it. The table is set up for a gathering or event, possibly a wedding or a party. The table is surrounded by several chairs, some of which are positioned on the left side, while others are on the right side. In the background, there is a beautiful view of a beach, making the setting even more picturesque. A person can be seen standing near the table, possibly preparing for the event or attending to the setup. The scene captures a sense of anticipation and excitement for the upcoming gathering.

This photo shows a naval vessel or ship (marked with the number 223) docked along a shoreline at what appears to be dusk or dawn. In the foreground, there's a large anchor on display, likely as a monument or decoration. The scene is set on a beach area with a walkway or promenade, and there are street lamps visible. Palm trees can be seen in the background, suggesting a tropical or coastal location. The silhouette of the ship stands out against the dimming sky and calm waters, creating a serene maritime scene. There appears to be someone sitting near the shoreline, enjoying the peaceful waterfront view.

Inside a charming café-cum-bar just off the upper reaches of one of Benidorm's main arterial streets, sunlight streams onto an elegant espresso machine. Off camera and awaiting the next coffee-loving customer(s), a barman is ready to prepare the next aromatic espressos, surrounded by a delightful display of coffee cups and colourful boxes of herbal teas (o 'infusiones', en español). A cosy, relaxed feel to the place invites customers to savour the moment — and take a few minutes to converse, heads up, in a break from everyday bustle and smartphone scrolling. All in all, a super spot for coffee lovers! Featured in Flickr Explore: May 6, 2026 #167

With only one week for this our second trip to Thailand I think it's fair to say we could've done with a bit more time. This capture appealed to me because of the visual stability of the rocks underneath a colourful sunrise. The surfer in the corner flowing through the shot adds to representing how I felt when I captured the image.

What makes a Flickr Group pool useful?

It gives you the most control as group administrator by moderating photos and people. Work with 3rd party content, while having the appropriate control over all of which you'll eventually sync to WordPress.

.fusion-fullwidth-3 { padding-left: 0px !important; padding-right: 0px !important; }
  • Load photos from public or invite-only groups (you or the added user must be a member). Private groups are not supported.
  • If you are the group administrator, have full control over all content added to your Flickr Group pool.
  • Display up to 500 of the latest photos from the desired pool.

How do the settings look like?
