There is no better image gallery for WordPress
There is no better image gallery for WordPress and new features are added constantly. Thanks!
I needed a very visually compelling, responsive image gallery
I needed a very visually compelling, responsive image gallery for a client who's an artist, and this plugin was just perfect. I'm still amazed at how easy it is to setup and use, given it has hundreds of options... I was even afraid it would slow down the site a bit, but it immediately proved me wrong. Not only the...
I have an AJAX theme and the gallery is missing
Please try this fix first: The gallery only shows when I reload the page So, if you've done all that and it doesn't work, it all comes down to a more advanced problem, coming from the theme. Check your theme, do a mass search in the JS files for parseHTML( (yes, including the open parenthesis). It'll confirm the conjecture that...
I see the shortcode instead of a gallery
When expecting a gallery, do you just see the shortcode on the frontend like this? Then your shortcode does not get processed. The reasons behind that could be: JIG is disabled. Check JIG on the plugin list of the WordPress Dashboard, it should be active, not only installed. Shortcode processing is disabled for the content area you are using. In...
I’m using JIG as a Grid much more than as a gallery
I'm using JIG as a Grid much more than as a gallery. Reason? I found performance to be really zippy and customisable options incredibly thought-through and versatile. I guess with so much options it's bound to have a few option forks that may not be applicable under certain conditions. JIG is incredibly powerful as I could mix styling results with...

Show the shortcode The above example uses the following, generated shortcode (how to use): Special usage This gallery shows various setups to convey that it is able to go beyond the usual thumbnail-to-lightbox photo gallery. Note the creative use of four available captions, different video options and custom link...
Can I use JIG as a standalone plugin to create albums?
No, Justified Image Grid by itself is not a source and it's not another gallery management plugin. It uses Sources you know and probably use. Album-gallery relationships are already available using excellent solutions without much to improve upon, thus JIG didn't intend to re-invent the wheel. To have Album-gallery relationship, you need to use: NextGEN Gallery Facebook overview (single-level) Flickr...
We have a lot of albums
...also purchased FooBox lightbox as that seems to fit our needs very well too. Over the last few years we have used Gallery2, Coppermine and Phoca gallery when the site was on Joomla, and then we used NextGen gallery when we switched to WordPress. We've been using the 'Awesome Flickr Gallery' since NG was bought out and have always viewed...
Images by taxonomy
...1 step from creating galleries which is as simple as writing a few words. Blue landscapes Here the "blue" is the tag and "landscapes" is the category. Just by typing these two words into the plugin we get a nice gallery. There's no need to select these pictures manually. When you upload more blue landscapes, the gallery will grow automatically....
