Currently it's just disabled for performance reasons. PrettyPhoto would load all large-sized images and scale them down to be shown as the thumbnail strip. A modification is underway to use the small thumbnails that are already loaded by JIG. Had an issue with our site loading the JIG gallery. I received a prompt response and told that an update would be made to the plugin. In the meantime, I was given the file that would fix the issue. Worked great!
